Unless otherwise stated, Maine Medical Partners employees are eligible for benefits from the first of the month following
hire date, as long as they are regular employees scheduled to work 20 or more hours per week.
Health Insurance
- Comprehensive health and prescription drug coverage

Dental Insurance
- Comprehensive coverage including preventive/diagnostic, restorative and major services
- $1,250 annual maximum benefit per member per year
- Separate orthodontia benefit available to a $1,250 lifetime maximum for dependents up to age 19

Life Insurance
- Maine Medical Partners pays the cost of one times annual earnings for employees
- Affordable premiums provide employees with the option to purchase voluntary coverage for themselves, spouses and/or
dependents
- Basic and voluntary coverage contain portability provisions
Long and Short Term Disability Insurance
- Maine Medical Partners pays the total cost of short-term and long-term disability coverage
- Short-term disability provides a benefit of 60% of pay for up to 13 weeks for disability, subject to a 14 day elimination
period. The short-term disability plan dovetails with the long-term plan, which also provides a benefit of 60% of
pay to age 65.
- Eligibility for short-term disability is the first of the month following six months of continuous active employment
- Eligibility for long-term disability is the first of the month following six months of continuous active employment
Reimbursement Accounts
- Health Care Reimbursement Account – annual employee contribution maximum of $4,000
- Dependent Care Reimbursement Account – annual employee contribution maximum of $5,000
Earned Time (“ET”)
- Earned time provides the flexibility to manage vacation, holiday and sick time from a single bank
- Accruals for Earned Time begin with your 1st week of employment
Employee Discount Program
- Maine Medical Partners employees can take advantage of discounts through 100+ area vendors participating in the Discount
Program
- Companies include fitness centers, florists, cell phone services, and home improvement stores among many others.
401(k) Retirement Plan
- Employees who are at least 21 years of age, have attained six (6) months of service and have worked at least 500 hours
in the prior six months are eligible to participate.
- New participants may enroll the first of the quarter following the date they become eligible and may contribute from
1-100% of their weekly salary on a tax-deferred basis (not to exceed $15,000 in 2006).
- After employees have completed 12 months of service, (at least 1,000 hours), Maine Medical Partners will contribute
a 100% match on the first 3% of salary deferred, and 50% match on the next 2% of salary deferred. Rollovers
from other qualified plans are accepted.
- Employees may receive up to $2,000 per fiscal year for tuition reimbursement.
- Eligible employees must have at least 6 months of service as a regular employee and have scheduled hours of 20 or more
per week.
- Employees receive 100% coverage of the tuition costs if the applicant and course meet the reimbursement criteria.
